Welcome to our new home... At Townsend B&B is situated, well, "at the town's end" of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. History, culture and colour, this is Old Town Lunenburg, rated as one of Trip Advisor's top 10 destinations.

A world-class fishing and shipbuilding port, the town was officially founded in 1753 on the site of an earlier Acadian settlement. UNESCO declared the historic waterfront district with its narrow streets, brightly painted buildings and captivating architecture, a World Heritage Site in 1995. At Townsend B&B, is also perfectly situated to explore the delights of the South Shore and beyond..

Just 16 minutes walk from Old Town Lunenburg, At Townsend B&B, our newly built home features a full breakfast, served daily in our dining room (or on the south facing deck, weather permitting).

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the house. For your comfort, both our queen bedded rooms offer spacious 3-pc en suite bathrooms with a selection of Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. Should you want to check the latest news or weather there are 32"-flat screen satellite TV's with BluRay player and a selection of movie's to choose from.

Whether you are in Lunenburg for business or pleasure, our rooms have a work desk, comfortable leather loveseat and a selection of tea's, coffee's & hot chocolate. A non-smoking environment and central air-conditioning are offered for guest comfort.

Lunenburg has much to offer from the Fisherman's Museum of the Atlantic, the Bluenose Golf Club, numerous boutique shops and restaurants and should you decide to use Lunenburg as your base to day trip, we are close to numerous wineries, the towns of Mahone Bay, Chester and Annapolis Royal or for those looking to hike or swim, we have Hirtle's Beach and Kejimkujik National Park.

Please Note: we do have 2 resident cats, very friendly, but they are restricted from entering the guest bedrooms at all times.
